I'm afraid the recent run of techy posts continues...
Got a Nokia 6600? Bought a new memory card for it? Lost Opera as a result? This is how you put it on the fresh card without buying a new copy...
- Backup your phone if you haven't done so already.
- Install a file explorer (such as FExplorer) on your Nokia 6600.
- In FExplorer go to C:\system\Data on your phone and copy the file ousr600.dat to another directory (C:\Nokia\Others is as good as any).
- Download Opera for your phone.
- Install Opera on to your new memory card.
- Go back to FEExplorer and copy your backup of ousr600.dat from C:\Nokia\Others back over the one in C:\system\Data.
- All done! Opera should now work fine.
I have tried this on my phone and it worked but I accept no responsibility if this fails on yours, or indeed does something more drastic to it! Always ensure you have a backup of your phone.
I would just like to let you know that the problem i had with my Nokia 6600 was with PC Suite. When installed onto my laptop in the second partition "D" on startup the PC Suite software was asking me to enter aunique name for my phone. On every attempt to enter it I was told it was an invalid name.
I took your advice and uninstalled the PC Suite and installed it on "C" partition and BINGO, it worked no problem. Thanks a lot for your help. I write purely to thank you and confirm that this worked for me also.

After corrupting my memory card and having to format it I lost Opera, which never seemed to work anyway. After happening upon your site I tried downloading Opera again as per your instructions, and it now works! A bonus was finding FExplorer - a really handy tool.
